Hollow Glass Microspheres HN20
Thin-walled hollow glass beads from sodium borosilicate material
with a special process, closed the tiny sphere, the sphere inside
the parcel certain amount of gas, its specific density, low thermal
conductivity, low oil absorption, particle size and chemical
composition controllable superior performance, which makes it very
suitable as emulsion explosives sensitizers.
Density modifier:When filling 2%- 4% of microspheres (mass ratio), it can
effectively regulate the product’s density, playing the true role
as a density regulator.
Sensitizer:hollow glass microspheres can evenly distribute into the emulsion
explosive, which formed numerous tiny bubbles with a stable space.
Due to the effect of external impulse, the temperature of each
microsphere rises rapidly. The burning point of oil is reached as
the combustion occurs, resulting in the decomposition of oxidants,
so as to achieve the effect of explosion.
Dimensional Stability:For emulsion explosives, internal media is oversaturated solution
with a high density; external media is the oil film with a
relatively low density. After adding hollow glass microspheres into
the explosives, each spherical surface closes with a number of oil
droplets surrounding which hold the spheres afloat, resulting in a
